I have always thought about having a family member who goes to NYC often as well as a co-worker who is originally from NY to pick me up some tickets. Though in my situation it doesn't sound like it would be illegal since I live in NYS as well. Now that I know CT is the hotspot I'll have to make my way out there.

There must be a catch. I've mailed tickets back to different states and received checks from them. The back of the tickets also have addresses to send winners to.

yes NY sends out their tickets from their warehouses to the retailers through UPS so that better not be illegal

It is only illegal if sent through the U.S. Mail. If you use UPS or another private carrier it is completely legal.

Unfortunately it is a federal crime to send lottery ticket's in the mail. and you could be an agent trying to set up someone on this site to do just that. I would advise people not to send tickets in th mail for people you do not know. Beware of set ups.

Maybe plan a trip one weekend? Take the train out to CT, relax for a couple of hours. Grab some food and tickets then head back

Yea I don't think you'll get any takers. I'm in CT every weekend but i would never do this. If you were close i would go 50/50 on a bunch of tickets. I agree Ct is much better then NY.

If someone will visit CT and can buy a scratch offs for me. That would have been great! I can send a money order, cash, gift card, personal check as a payment. I know its kinda annoying but I really want to play CT lottery as NY lottery is keep disappointing.
