This is a clever scheme, however, there is some informational loss due to Summation Compression.

Love this thread Jade, don't know how to use excel, did 20 picks long hand, came up with missing clockwise moves.

First pos A missing 8

Second Pos b missing 2-5-9

third c missing 1-9

In my mind, if I add the 8 to the fist pos. I will get digit 5

If I add 2-5-9 to second, I get 9-2-6

If I add 1-9 to the third I get 0-8

Hence missing gap numbers

I try to enter the draws at the bottom, the numbers changed in the section on top in the integration part, but I feel I am doing something wrong, because when I enter draws at the bottom they just doesn't updated right seems to me.

those examples are a simple way of explaining the changes without using too much math.

if you know the change, it can be used to find the next possible draw.

most of these file are already setup to use the change to find a likely draw number.

We said the '=Mod((b - a), 10)' is a cyclical differential for dial moves.

You don't have to observe it in a particular data set for there be a probability that it would occur, so when you compute the probability of something like 3 moves having a simultaneous long gap you have to compute the probability that ANY of those sets could occur. Same is true if you are running a simulation to see what the probability is.

If it HAD occurred in 1,2,3 and not 6,7,8 you would have had exactly the same reaction.

I think educating people is always worth the effort.

There are a lot of fundamental misconceptions about probabilities. Some you see in posts by people who think you shouldn't play 1 2 3 4 5 6 because it can never come up but are happy to play some other set of numbers that have exactly the same probability. Plenty of people tnink statistical analysis of drawings gives them an edge, it doesn't. Others think that curve fitting to past results can be used to predict future results, it doesn't.... [ More ]

The point is the probability of observing the event has to include ALL the events you COULD HAVE observed. All sets of three have an exactly equal probability of having the same gap.

You aren't getting it, yes you observed 6,7,8 but if it occurred in 1,2,3 you also would have OBSERVED it and announced there was a flaw in the system.

The only reason you OBSERVED only 3 consecutive numbers is be

cause you limited your view to a graphical view that made those more obvious. But if you were thorough and imagined there was a flaw then you would have looked for any set of three, not just an arbitrary consecutive set.

I used the combos you told me you used.

I don't have a notion of perfect, I am merely running real predictions based on systems against real drawings and seeing if the results were what probability theory predicts (ie losing an average of half your bets over time) or not. Isn't validation an important part of any experiment?

Not sure what actually has to do with it. The JADE One Hit Wonder produced results that were consistent with what a random pick would have produced and a loss consistent with the 50% house odds the MN lottery has. In other words, it didn't provide any advantage at all much less double the probability that would be needed to win consistently. You can look for a pattern in a random set of data and you have a certain probability of finding it based on the pattern and length of data.

You can say I'm looking for a pattern like this one and proceed to take the same set of data that doesn't have that pattern, manipulate it with a number of algorithms and the probability of the pattern appearing is related to the pattern, length of the data set and number of algorithms.

It's rarely interesting that a random streak ends, umm, randomly.

It's why people playing red after waiting for a streak of 8 lose their money just the same as people who bet randomly on red/black.

As expected, when I tested LakerBen's method the relatively few number of drawings (111) coupled with the odds his method of play entailed (1 in 167) resulted in a something that wouldn't be statistically valid.

He would have lost $65 playing the JADE numbers from Jan 1, 2010 to April 30, 2010

On 110 of the 111 days he would have lost $5, on one day (3/7/10) he would have won a net $485

Your code requires all the draw counts you are testing to be valid at the same time which only accurately tests for all the sequences hitting the draw counts while they are still all active. Since some are shorter, they should be permitted to shift within the longer sequence. An example, if all the sequences started at about the same time, say with this sequence:

1: 8

2: 6

3: 7

4-44: anything but 6,7,8

No, we were working well before that; we posted this topic and graph on 2015-10-25 and by that time there were at least 37 draws missed for the consecutive 6, 7 and 8 clockwise moves.

What is interesting, after our initial post on 2015-10-25 , 5 short draws later on 2015-10-30 the 6, 7, 8 clockwise moves return.

You claimed that the gap of 27 in 6,7, and 8 not appearing was evidence of a flaw .
