from SCEL Five numbers a Greenville man picked out of thin air have won him a $1 million Powerball prize.

when he was done five numbers in a row 6, 26, 33, 44, and 46 were underscored. He missed the jackpot by failing to match the Powerball number of 4.

More than once there has been proof of how much an advantage lottery retailers have selling tickets but maybe with all these self serve machines where the tickets are hidden inside and not up by the cash register for idle clerks to examine or to look for certain hot numbers in a book of tickets ... might have changed that.

They might see a pattern from cashing tickets and buy certain tickets in various parts of a book for themselves.

Several years ago I bought the last five or six tickets

For the regular lottery player, over 99% being luck with a fraction of a percent being game selection, numbers selection, and wager type / amount.

Back in the early days of lotteries, some attempted to play a very large percentage of combinations in games that featured jackpots well in excess of the odds. Ie. a $1 game with 1 in 1 million odds with a $5 million jackpot. Needless to say, lotteries most everywhere now require playslips to be filled out by hand.

Only doable if you earn $250,000 a year or better.

The way I see it is that there are two types monetary lotteries in life, the lottery games and the job lottery. I think most people would have better odds with the game lotteries than the job lottery.

I play the lottery strictly for entertainment. Anyone relying on winning a major lottery jackpot to fund their retirement nest egg will be sadly disappointed.

Patience--get a set of numbers and play them until they hit.

I keep reading where winners have played the same numbers for years until they win. You can try it and if you want to play some different numbers, do that--but always keep your original set of numbers in play too.

It depends on what choices the individual makes along the way, choices lead to consequences like the Butterfly Effect .

So many stories I've read about someone's friend or family member asking them to stop at a convenience store and purchase some milk or whatever, only to decide to buy a few QPs also just for the heck of it, and then going on to win a JP.

Listen PAMPAS !!! You have to CRAWL before you can RUN !!! Play and Win your country's Pick 4 game first, on a consistent basis !! Forget about Pick 6 !!!

You probably won't win Pick 6 before Pick 4, b/c Pick 6 type Jackpot games [like PB/MM] are normally won more often by Quick Picks rather than choosing your own numbers !!! Therefore, it is a matter of DIVINE LUCK to win Jackpot style games.
