There are pros for both ways, but at the end of the day, the chances of 1, 5, 10, 100, or more tickets of either way winning is exactly the same. With MM and PB, I'm a jackpot hunter so I'm more likely to purchase QPs because win or lose, I won't be replaying those combination.

I'm pretty sure I read this on the MM site. In the FAQ, it said 70% of winners are quick-picks and 70% of tickets sold are quick picks.

Edit - Actually, it's on the PB site and a bit vague 70 to 80

It will take longer to win with Quick Picks, b/c you have no control over the numbers you play, b/c computer generated numbers can be randomly anything.

On the other hand, it might take just as long to win something playing your own numbers, if you don't understand concepts and patterns about how best to choose numbers.

Both QPs and self-picks have their merits and short comings, but both are capable of generating a win. IMHO, it all comes down to personal preference -- if you enjoy studying the numbers and picking your own combinations, go for it! If you don't enjoy the process, or if you don't have the time, just buy a QP.

Background: When I first started playing Wisconsin Supercash they had mechanical draws, what I didn't know is in about 2004 they switched to RNG computers. I didn't know they did that until I visited Lottery Post. This website is a wealth of information. Since then I changed my strategy. I created a chart similar to stocks. I've come very close to hitting the numbers but close only counts in hand grenades. LOL
