I think I would travel for the first year after my check cleared and just see every part of the world I wanted to see.

Probably 1-2 weeks each and after that take a look at which place I liked most and then stay there for a longer time. Of the top of my head I could see Hawai'i and New Zealand being places like that.

I remember the numerous American coaches, athletes, biophysics experts saying there go those crazy Jamaicans again. First they got a bobsled team, and now they're putting a 6'5 man with scoliosis in a 100m race. Aah Teddi- Wonderful country, it's on my travel list regardless of whether l win a substantial amount or not.You are right, Usain Bolt is a rare breed of an athlete, especially for his height. I recall reading where so called experts were saying no one that tall should be running that fast.My Mother was an athlete in her youth and l remember her calling me to watch a late 30 something female athlete from Jamaica win medals in Sydney- The one only Merlene Ottey.She was fast.

Key word Moving . I wouldn't be moving. No change of address for the mail. No title transfer for the ole' homestead. I'd just be on an extended vacation until media dissipated. The only moving would be the cruise ship slicing through the ocean until I returned. Then weigh options at that time, but with a lot less attention.

Well, since I wasn't originally born in the US, I have no qualms moving. I always intended to go back to teach but since teachers make squat and I have no intention of living with my parents, I've stayed put. I've considered going back if I were to win. While I know I won't get bombed there, I've acclimated myself here, so I don't know if I want to go through yet another adjustment.

You forgot one very feasible option... a four month to year long world cruise! Though they can book a few years in advance, there are always last minute cancellations. And since money wouldn't be prohibitive, even a top notch $$$$ booking availability could be considered. I have a bag packed and one foot on the gangplank. Just waiting for the word from the lottery to embark

I agree with you, just saying it sounds strange if someone says I studied abroad in Canada , but it doesn't sound strange when two Canadians and a Haitian are studying basketball abroad at the University of Kentucky.

You're correct, Mexico and Canada are foreign countries, but I doubt the people living in Detroit will say they are going abroad when going to Windsor.

Future taxes is not a problem when jackpot winners take the cash, but what about the annuity people; could they move to another country and avoid paying US and state taxes on their payments
