No 10x multiplier for Powerball

There have only been 19 drawings under the new rules. The probability of the 10X multiplier being drawn when eligible is only 2.3255% (the odds are 1 in 43)

That comes out to ~0.44 expected hits. Of course, now the jackpot is over $150 million so the probability of 10X until the next reset is 0.00%

Anyone expecting to have seen a 10X so soon needs to read the rules

The matrix change is still new. Yes, there was a winner in TN 9 draws into the change. However, the jackpot is higher from the amount that was previously won.

What were they thinking in having a high minimum pot, and minimum growth per draw when they had no idea if players would respond positively to the change, or spend enough to meet that expectation? Look for the minimum pot and guaranteed growth to go away real soon.

On October 4, 2015, PowerPlay changed again, using 32 or 33 balls as follows:

2x (24) 3x (13) 4x (3) 5x (2) 10x (1)

10x available when jackpot is less than $150 million.

They also have a disclaimer on their site that the prize will be reduced if a popular number is drawn. Effectively making ALL states pari-mutuel and allowing winners to get a taste of what it feels like to play in California.

Matrix change: white ball count went 59 to 69. PB count went from 35 to 26.

I thought the 10x multiplier was only for a promotional, temporary period?

Blackjack26241, what were the latest changes to Powerball?

Also, is the 10x multiplier (permanent)??

since the Powerball change there has been no 10x multiplier and no huge jackpot so much for the great fix
