Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but at the end of the day the lotteries make the rules. Experience lottery players know sales is the determining factor; not player's opinions.

It looks like you're saying the people in Nevada, Utah, Alabama, and Mississippi shouldn't be paid if the win a jackpot in another state because their state has no lottery?

I'm against the online lotto game offerings.

That's your opinion and just because this is a lottery discussion forum, why not explain why you're against a state lottery selling tickets online.

Whenever someone says no offense intended look out because the next sentence is usually highly offensive. Case in point. If you really don't wish to cause offense then don't. Otherwise at least man up and be proud in your offensiveness and don't then claim civility as a ruse to avoid backlash.

and it's not very well thought out because if they have a problem with foreigners winning U.S. lottery prizes, they shouldn't sell foreigners U.S. lottery tickets.

If you can pay the wager, you can win. Not only don't lotteries bar foreigners from playing, casinos and race tracks don't either.

You seem to realize this as you use disclaimers such as no offense and just my opinion which I'm allowed to have . If you have to defend yourself from the get-go, it's not looking to convincing.

So if l understand you correctly DestinyC- you would also be concerned if a person from North Korea visited the United States,and while here purchased a lottery ticket and ended up winning $200 mil. Would your concern be that he won, or that Kim Jong would end up bagging it all? Which to you is the Lesser of these two evils

The only question is can players legally purchase U.S. lottery tickets for people living in other countries. The answer to that question is similar to can U.S. auto companies legally sell vehicles in other countries. Every state lottery defines the process of non U.S. residence cashing lottery tickets.

Are you suggesting the U.S. should be isolated from the rest of the World

In order for foreigners to win US lottery money, they first have to pay money to the US lotteries. And in the long run, they'll pay more in than they win - that's how the system is built.

Thanks for your post...I read the LP news on that subject. The guy is a Kurd, and the Kurd's are the only ones in that region helping us in Iraq. So if it had to go to anyone there, I'm glad it was a Kurd. What really pisses me off is when an illegal crosses the southern border, buys a lottery ticket and wins. But then thats probably a good thing, he will now go back to Mexico and not take a job from an American citizen looking for one. I like Trump

These two websites, Lottery Post and USAMEGA, are worldwide and thankfully contribute to the social fabric.

I believe that American values can be shared internationally. There are the five freedoms that World WarII was fought for and won. Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press must be defended by each one of us.

The majority of foreigners envy our way of life. Let us not be too quick to change America.

No offense intended, but ....

I personally feel that U.S. lottery money should stay within the borders of United States Territory, meaning it can legally be won by United States citizens ONLY !!! Not Foreigners !!!

I know it would be hard to police this policy, b/c a U.S. citizen could still purchase a ticket for a foreigner, receive payment, and then turn around and transfer payment to a foreigner, including a foreigner living outside of the United States. By foreigner, I mean a non-U.S.
