If I won a major jackpot, I would keep playing. Not so much for the chance to win again, but for the fun of being in it. I would still buy my one ticket per drawing.

There are other games that I could play also, such as Take5 and Cash4Life. I would try to win one of those prizes.

l definitely will walk away from the game, wild horses will pull me away. Well multi millions of dollars will do that. I am not ashamed to admit it. However I will pop in from time to time to see what's going on the forum....As l hear Sunset Grill by Don Henley of the Eagles playing in the background.

Considering about 10% of the drawings in the last year produced a jackpot winner, all but a few players were losers. PB sales dropped $12 million from the starting jackpot after setting the record so it looks like lots of players quit playing.

I enjoy the lottery so i think i would still play when JP's reach record highs. I think that would be the only time i would play though...i would be too busy investing and multiplying my current winnings. I have no problem hitting a JP a second time..the more i win the more good i could do for others less fortunate.

That depends on how big the jackpot is. If it's under 5 million, then I'd probably keep playing just for the heck of it. Over 20 million after taxes and I'd quit to travel the world/start my own blog again. With quite a few million in the bank, I'd be too busy trying to find ways to spend my money than worrying about buying more lotto tickets.

Sounds likes you think anyone who plays the lotteries and never won a jackpot is a loser, which includes almost every one who ever brought a lottery ticket. Winning a jackpot once in a life time is unlikely let alone twice for most players.

Robert Uomini has the perfect response to that when he simply said he wasn't playing to win, he was playing for the fantasy value.

Playing the lottery allowed him to fantasize about buying a Lamborghini and owning a house in the south of France. Then he won and he didn't have to fantasize any more. He could get those things if he wanted to.

Yea I'd probably quit, I've already quit for other reasons.

When I moved to SoCal they didn't have lottery, I hated that but had to do it.

I quit PB after the last matrix change and realized I don't miss it even a little bit,

and just the other day I skipped JC5 just because I didn't feel like going to the store.

So given a good size JP...oh say about 50 MIL clear, I'd quit.

I remember a Texas Lottery TV advert about a yr. after we first got the game. It was two old guys sitting in rocking chairs on a porch and arguing who was going to be the first one in Texas to win the lottery twice. A major jackpot win would pretty much end my participation in PB and MM. The only exception would be if the jackpot was near a record high then I would be tempted. I am sure the goal for most here is to win the big one so why would anyone still regularly play after finally winning a once in a lifetime game

I'd keep playing, for sure. I wouldn't be worried about missing a draw, though. I'd probably do it more as a hobby and would try some wheels. I've done those in the past, but to do them properly took more money that I really wanted to spend on a single drawing.

If I won big then I would test my luck on Pick 3's 4's. The allure of MM PB would still remain with me.

These games are my gambling. I will not step into a casino. Why should I contribute to the casino owners' building fund.

I would be so relaxed and not be so concerned about another big win.

I don't think there needs to be any bad karma in continuing to play.

Look at buying the tickets as giving back to the prize pool to fund someone else's dream If you do win, you could give the ticket to someone and tell them to claim as their own, or give to charity.

Already I'm playing so much less than I use to, so probably I will keep going with the 1draw pb/mm each game draw after my big win (lump sum) --- and I will start doing scratchers - trying to catch a 1M$ or 10M$ ticket (annuity) - just for vacation money. Then after I have my big jackpot win and a medium scratcher win - then I will stop - and only buy tix as gifts. Cuz at that point my focus will change. whoot

If it was a huge a jackpot, I can't think of a reason I'd have to keep playing. Only reason I'm playing now is to land a big jackpot, so once I get it, to keep playing would be pointless.

I know Jack Whitakker won another $10k, so he's kept playing even though he's called it a curse, and Cynthia Stafford believes she'll win another major jackpot so she's kept playing.

I wonder if sometimes the Lottery Fairy doesn't make a pact with certain players that goes something like this -

She'll let you win but if you ever play again not only will you never win but you'll lose all you did win.

Maybe that's what happened to some of the people on The Curse of the Lottery.

With a major win, I'd stop playing the multistate games and bigger lotto, but I'd keep playing scratchers just for fun. And still go to the casino. Both those are entertainment now, so not sure that would change.
