This lottery makes no sense at all. I think its going to go to $850 before a single ticket hits. It won't go past 1 billion because on Philadelphia billboards I can't figure out how they can roll another digit. That is controlled by the lottery commission I am sure.

That would take at least a couple of decades. There's a limit to how much people are going to spend on any one drawing, especially when they keep on not winning, and a trillion is a VERY large number.

Suppose that people collectively spend a billion dollars per drawing - 500 million tickets, or about 2 tickets for every person in the country old enough to play. Yeah, 2 sounds about right, but I'd say 3 winners should surface on Wednesday, with all the greed going on around us every day. Yeah, ok, I'd be included in that tally, until I go broke trying.

We need a winner by Wednesday. And look, if you should be the Wednesday's sole winner, please give me .75 million cash, free of obligation (just for me to buy a half decent house and a RAM truck).

Last time PB was at this level was before the matrix change, so a direct comparison is iffy, but I'll give it a shot.

For a jackpot of $395M, there were 73.1 million tickets sold. If the same number are sold for this drawing, that gives about a 77.8% chance of no winner. The probability of exactly one is 17.2%, and the probability of 2 or more is 4.9%.

(I hope you're right about one in Arizona.

The odds are 1:292,000,000 so I'm guessing (with all the tickets sold for this drawing) there will be 2 winners. I will also guess one winner will be in Arizona and the other will be in Florida. Don't ask me why, just a guess. LOL
