Robots are computers so they can be manipulated.

Ever seen the chicken playing the piano at a State Fair? Animals can be manipulated. Where the numbers are on the sheet of paper the chicken is peeking and where the feed is will play a part in what number is the winner. Measuring the largest hole will be subject to manipulation (remember the hanging chads in Florida?).

If man has a hand in it then the hand of man can affect it.

A question I'd like asked: Are lotteries looking at going far about the traditional ~50% prize payout for numbers games?

Most numbers games I've come across top out around 55%-58%, such as PA Treasure Hunt and regional game Cash4Life, with the exception of Wyoming Lottery Cowboy Draw, which has a 68% prize payout - highest I've ever seen for any lottery numbers game.

Instant tickets typically payout 60%-75%+ and sell very well. Higher paying numbers games, presumably, would too.... [ More ]

I remember that drawing from a few years ago, where a law firm in New York (I think) tried to claim the prize by submitting the ticket via overnight mail with only a short time before the ticket would have been void. Something about the signature portion smudged and illegible for a trust or partnership, but the lottery commission denied it and they quickly withdrew the request for payment. It's true a computer can be hacked but for the most part this could be prevented if the computer is never

connected to the intranet. To shore up the RNG then they could require a rolling access code that required

two or more people to enter a password before access was granted at any level. I don't fully trust either

method as both have a human element. The technology already exist that could be used to control the

I don't know if I will be around on Monday but if someone could ask what the current status is for online

ticket sales I would be very interested. I asked the MO lottery and they told me it had something to do

with current laws. I personally would like for each state to provide this option. We have moved into the

digital age except when it comes to buying lottery tickets. We have to fill out bet-slips which waste paper

Make a choice. Physical balls in a secure container and the balls can be pretested for randomness. All the balls are kept in a secure environment i.e. a locked and monitored room 24/7. or do you prefer a computer picking the numbers? A computer can be hacked by criminals and the winning numbers preordained to appear as legit.

This is a true story, I purchased several scratch-offs for the wife a few years back. She scattered them

on the floor and then set her cat in the middle of them and asked the cat which one was a winner. The

cat sniffed around on several of the tickets then settled on one and started to do the cat nudge and roll.

That ticket was a winner. The wife then asked the cat again and BAM the next one was a winner. None

well..yes to a certain point...we have computers that can quick pick our numbers...but I would caution against the use of Farm animals ...they do not have

the Respect for numbers written on paper that is needed....chickens...dogs...cats...pigs...cows...have a poor record choosing winning numbers...I know this

from experience....trust me....

Now I use the most ....the best....a sure winner each time...method ....The Force....

Robots should be picking the numbers! Or put the 1-69 for powerball on a sheet of paper with chicken feed and let a chicken decide the newest millionaire. The biggest holes in the paper are the winnings numbers. Anything else is verbage.
