This is so true! I do pick some of my own numbers and even look at previous drawings but in the end I know it doesn't help; if the draws work as the lottery officials claim, each draw is completely independent from any other draw and should be 100% random. I still like to think I have a better edge through my analysis though. LOL

I read a few comments stating they had signs up in th stores cash only QP only so the decision is already made for you. Hence my discard vote

QP is the proper choice from a financial standpoint, if you enjoy conjuring up your own numbers for the pure enjoyment by all means do so.

All number combinations have an equal probability of turning up so that leaves two things in favor of QPs, they take up less of your time and people don't pick random numbers so your personally selected numbers are more likely to result in a shared jackpot. Whats with the powerball QP computer? I bought 5 tickets at different locations and these are the PB numbers I got... 4, 21, 23, 24 and 25.

I spent hours simulating lottery drawings with numbered scraps of paper and big ziplock bags(white balls and bonus balls). I wanted pure randomness just like a lottery drawing. I have 10 lines for both Mega and PB that I play on a regular basis.

75% of winners come from quick picks, but it really doesn't matter.

I always do quick pick, it is much easier than thinking what numbers you want to put on the paper

They say that 70-80% of the tickets purchased are QuickPick and also that 70-80% of the winning tickets were QuickPick hmmmmmmm

I'm going with QP tickets. Those numbers are as good as any I can choose.

I have heard a lot of conflicting information on whether or not it is better to do quick pick or to select your own numbers. Many say use Quick Pick so that you are not bias and your numbers are truly random and unique. Others, like Richard Lustig, say to pick your own numbers and stick with them. What method will you be using for the 1.4 Billion Dollar Powerball this week
