The Robinson when on the Today Show because their Lawyer give them the advice to do so. Why are they paying Lawyer for his advise. They believe he know what to do. Bad advice. He saw a chance to make more money he took it. Major free publicity, National coverage.

And I also said many times before that I would not run or hide from anyone if I won, so I applaud them for sticking their ground and not letting preconceived negative thoughts change who they are and scare them off. That is not how a lottery winner should live, and would only make you a prisoner of your own self-centered paranoia. I personally would have not done the press conference until I had the cash. But this only goes to show you that not everyone needs to be worried even if they are not prepared. People act like every criminal in the world was out there waiting for them when in reality no one gave a crap and nothing happened at all. I care about the lottery and playing it as a hobby for fun for myself, not about what happens or doesn't happen to other winners. I am too busy living my own life. Most here are just mad they did not win it and are mad that no problems happened, because they went against all of the expert advice given on here daily. I agree. Just like doctors, attorneys are at all levels of expertise and competence. Always go with a national reputation law firm in the nearest major city and be willing to pay for that expertise. No competent attorney would bring a family member to a client matter. Attorneys are paid to keep their clients out of the news.

All this TV appearance did for them was make them the focus of every scammer and con artist in the USA. They are obviously nice, trusting, unsophisticated folks -- just ripe to be conned.

I don't agree with the mindset that all lottery winners should all the sudden do all moral things and help the world just because they won a jackpot. They won and it is their life and can do whatever they want to regardless of how much money they got. But it is kinda stupid to go back to a 9 to 5 when you could make a lot more money and have a lot more fun being self-employed. I agree! What if there is someone in that town that NEEDS that job she has to put food on the table? She should give the job to someone that needs it, and volunteer her time if she needs to keep busy.

Sad that the wife is so naive to think that she could go back to work Monday and everything would be the same. I think if I were the dermatologist she works for I would ask her to not come back. it's unfair to everyone that DOES have to work for a living to have their lives disrupted in such a way.

I doubt they are going to get murdered just because they won the lottery. As I said before those are in the minority, and many of them got murdered because they were living shady lifestyles before they won and was more so based on behavior not just because they won the lottery. But they wanted to get the media over with so now the focus is on the others.

They will be fine as long as they signed the ticket. I said in another post I bet the winners got no sleep looks like I was right. I would be in no hurry to do interviews but I also would want to just get them over it. Was smart to do it first that way the focus will be on who were the other two winners? I know I would not be doing any interviews though until I got the money, and certainly not carrying around the ticket even if it was signed.
