Drawings over scratches every time.

Although scratches have a more spread out win possibility, I believe the true odds are worse. What I mean by true odds are, we never know how many tickets are printed up of a particular game. Not only that, all tickets are spread across thousands of stores, depending on our commute, we most likely won't reach a great % of these tickets. Scratchers just aren't as much fun for me.

Ive always done better with scratchers. I also try to not only buy 1 of whatever I am getting. (I get at least 3 of whatever I am getting) The lower amount tickets have lower odds, the more expensive the ticket, the odds improve a little.

About 2 months ago I had a fairly successful string of $3 tickets of the same game. I think out of the 8 tickets I got, I won over $90. But I have been on a cold spell since they refilled the tickets. Waiting a while to get closer to the middle of the stack... [ More ]

I've never played scratch cards before except for the time when I turned 16 (legal UK age) so I went and bought like 2 tickets and lost and never bought any again, haha.

I have terrible luck in draws tho, I haven't matched a thing this year! Need to grab my ticket for Fridays EuroMillions draw since it's a big one....

Depends on the scratch off game and what higher odds terminal game .

Most scratch off games are designed to feed a gambler's itch, every ticket will be an almost winner and the smallest prize is found often enough to keep people coming back. The expected return can be impacted by the largest prizes all having been redeemed

Let's take an example, the Arizona Casino King scratcher.

Scratch offs hands down win more often than higher odds terminal games. I also spend more on scratchers so I guess that's to be expected.

Which do you have better luck with? I don't play a lot of scratch offs but i know a few people who have completely quit drawings and turned to scratch offs because they claim they do better with payouts. Scratch offs can get real expensive real quick though..but i wonder sometimes about not including scratch offs in my weekly lottery budget. It goes soo fast with scratch offs...$5 here $15 there, but with drawings it's less expensive and you have some time to hope and dream before a drawing...se... [ More ]
