Back when I worked at a grocery store(mid 90's), we had these in PA. It was a $25 Christmas ticket which had a guaranteed $5 return,. Not bad for a holiday since you can give as gifts and guarantee they actually win something.

That honestly doesn't sound that bad. I agree it would be a better holiday ticket, probably. Still, getting some type of return will probably keep people purchasing those tickets.

Hubby I took a break from the scratchers whenever we use to go to TX we would grab a few but the past year we just been multi-drawing the state games. Before we go down there I usually check the website for new tickets. But I will definitely stay away from this one. Thanks for the info Cher46.

The store clerk told me also that while she was on duty, there had been only $5 winners and not many people had bought them. Sounds like they are not very popular.

The stores I frequently go to had a $500 winner on this ticket posted up last week. I have asked all the regular players I see, and nobody seems to like these or want to play them. I have bought about 10 from different stores and have not won more than $25 on it.

I have a story to share about a store I go to regularly. On Thursday, right before I got there someone hit $1,750 on a $50 ticket. The ticket was number 9, which is usually a good ticket to play. Anyway, the owner told me that the particular pack was loaded with winners, 1-$500, 2-$200, and a couple of $100's. He told me I should play but I wasn't about to do that after someone had $1,750 win. I figured that was it for that role. It was a great looking ticket too. It had all $70 wins with a win... A lot of people don't care for this type of ticket. I'm one of them. If it paid less then what you paid for it. That not a good sell point. Any state lottery that just toss this kind ticket to it players if it not a holiday ticket such be ready to except the losses on the ticket. Worst yet. We will hear from it [the lottery spoke person]. We don't understand why this game or ticket didn't do well! Think about it

This is essentially a 15 dollar scratch off. The more low prizes they pack in, the worse the odds for a good pull.

I was just looking on the Texas Lottery Site and saw they are coming out with a new $20 ticket. This ticket has prizes starting at $5, but they are all winners.

Lately, it has been really bad to win anything decent here in San Antonio. The new Hit tickets are horrible and now they insult our intelligence by telling us we win a prize on every ticket. Who wants to win $5 when you just spent $20? I think this is a new low to make money for the state of Texas. I may have to quit playing.
