I've been running an organized lottery pool at work for 3 years now for Powerball. The amount of people in it have been between 12-20, I try to keep 20 people. At first It started as only playing when the jackpot was over $100m, but I was like if we not playing we not winning. About a year and half ago I changed it to where we play every draw on a monthly basis. Last May we were 1 number from getting all 5 white numbers.

I don't really 'expect' to win a mega-jackpot, something with crazy, outer-space odds. I like to play games with smaller jackpots, better odds, because I'm a math girl. Why else do we play if not to win?

I don't know if I will win a jackpot or not, but I can't win if I don't play.

My one ticket has as much chance of being the jackpot winner as everyone else's ticket.

If it's meant to be, then it should be ME! Don't worry, I will set some aside for my friends on Lottery Post.

It's literally the first draw that I have actually gotten 2 numbers (1 regular 1 bonus ball) and I still won nothing tonight!

I'm having the worst luck ever this year, there have been some crazy jackpots this month tho and I am not sure if it has rolled yet....

Just yesterday my daughters best friend's mother bought a $5 scratch off at the gas station down the street and won $77,000...just goes to show you can't win if you don't play and that is all i am sure of. I won't be shocked if i don't win big but i do keep the faith that i could hit eventually. We all face the same odds and somebody always hits..why couldn't it be me.

If I thought I'd never win, I wouldn't play the lottery. I have an uncle who thought he'd never win and then won over $50k and bought himself a nice SUV after the tax man took his cut, along with a nice trip to the beach with his girlfriend at the time. I can say with certainty, that I am unsure if i will ever win. and also with certainty, I am sure I will never win if i dont buy a tickets.

I am also in favor of the less is more principal. buy the min amount to enter. although I haven't been sticking to it very well the last year. going with another favorite, the cover every number in the draw at least once play style.

Ask anyone who won a major jackpot. They too thought they'd never win, but they did. The odds are against you, thats how the jackpot grows. There are winners and losers in everything.

When I first starting playing the lottery 3-4 years ago I knew that I was going to win big. Now that I've been playing for awhile I know that I won't win. The odds are just stacked too high against me. For some reason I throw a couple of dollars into the jackpot every few weeks hoping to win. I do it out of force of habit these days than expecting to win. I've never won more than $50 dollars on a ticket and I don't ever seeing myself winning any amount higher than that either.... [ More ]
