4 way=1112

6 way=1122

12 way=1123

24 way=1234

So the 4,6,12,24 way is determined by the number, correct? It's not something I choose independent of the number. If that's the case, I think I understand it a bit more.

The terms 4-way, 6-way, 12-way just define the type of number (triple, double double, double) that is played, and the type of number determines the prize amount.

4-way - triple number that has only 4 different combinations: 4777, 7477, 7747, 7774 (pays the highest of any Pick 4 BOX combination)

6- way- double double that has only 6 combinations: 4477, 7744, 4747, 7474, 4774, 7447

12 way- any double number that has only 12 combinations: 1147, 1174, 4711, 7411, 1471, 1741, 1417, 1714, 41... [ More ]

I'm having trouble understanding what some of the betting options mean in Pick3 and Pick4, mostly Pick4. The 50/50 plays don't make much sense to me the way that valottery website explains them. I don't quite understand the differences in 4-way, 6-way, 12-way.
