I heard they change out the balls and also weigh them pretty often. I don't think it is rigged.Pure Luck

Yes, totally random. Odds of getting the first powerball number right are 1:75, the next ball 1:74, and so on. There is no advantage to any number being picked whatsoever.

Its mostly random, thats for sure. We are talking about the ping pong balls blowing around in that box right? Maybe if a few of the balls weighed a bit more or were a slightly different size it could make a difference. I'm sure the Powerball folks have taken steps to ensure its as random as humanly possible though.

I buy a Powerball ticket for every single drawing twice a week. I don't wait till it gets really high before I buy. I would be happy with the starting point. What is it like 25 Million...nothing wrong with that amount.

Well, powerball is gamble. Chance to win is too low and it's not economic.

But some people still want to try, no one have a solution to win the powerball, but the solution to improve your chance per dollar does exist.

Winning the Powerball is by chance and luck. All these people claim they have a solution...well if their system works so well then why haven't they won yet?

You never hear of people winning Powerball 2 or 3 times in there lifetime. Just plain luck.

Given the case that some balls get a better rates, yes, some combo get a better rates too, compare to combo which contains rare numbers.

With 292 million possible outcomes, it's next to impossible to know. Only a few drawings sold enough tickets where every combo could be drawn.

Would it be more random if some combos are printed multiple times or each combo only once

And here I get an awesome app to generate the numbers from historic data. It give each ball a weighted chance to pick according to their history performance.

Since no link here, I won't post its link, but per my test, I get a better chance, like 50% more to hit more numbers than usually.

With a random ticket, in general, I get 3~4 numbers with 10 tickets, with the app, I get ~6 numbers.

I tend to believe that the numbers are generated randomly, but not with an even chance.

Some ball does take a better chance to be picked. Maybe caused by the procedure to do the lottery. And since they use the same procedure to generate the numbers, some number may get a really bad chance to show.
