I never pick my own numbers with pic3s. I always use the latest Lottery Bible,Hot Numbers and Money Row publications. Also I use the previous year hitters like March 2015 winners for MI. 574 974 195 and 480 hit for MI listed in this months LB fell this time last year.You just have to research your states history.

I just read the stats. I play the hot numbers. The more frequent hitters. I have won tons of tiny jackpots playing that way.

Now that Ohio's Classic Lotto jackpot is $4M, it has the best odds of winning a couple of million dollars in the state.

Classic Lotto = 1:13,983,816 @ $1 per ticket

MegaMillions = 1:18,492,204 @ $2 per ticket

The last time I bought quick picks for 8 draws for the twice a week games--because quick picks win more. No stressing over which numbers to play and I'm in all the games. If I win-great. If I don't-it is fun to dream.

i let covermaster pick mine evn though i dont play many lines., my 1st order of things is to make sure i cover every number possible at least once.

fer instance, on PB here, we use 40 numbers and 6 are drawn. so 7 lines with 6 ea covers 42 numbers, 2 spare.

OCL has one of the worst pay out for a match3 in a 6/49 game in the country. It's Lucky for Life game is a lot better.

Depends on the game and how long its present matrix has existed. For example most games never have the same number follow a number in the next combination during the first 300 drawings after a matrix change. If this hold true for MM with only 247 drawings since its last matrix change I can reduce the number pool by 32 numbers and still be confident that I have a good chance of matching four or more of the winning numbers picking my own combinations.

I bought two quick picks for last night's Hot Lotto an hour and a half apart and at two different stories. Funny that both tickets shared three of the same random numbers. Needless to say, none of those three were picked. I was, however, lucky enough to get the hot ball or whatever it is called on one of the two and got the two bucks back for the two tickets. I will say this, when we buy several tickets and the same number appears across quite a few of them, that number is never called.

For Pick 3, which I play on paper only, not with real $, I watch hot and cold numbers, expecting 2 hot numbers and one cold number to appear. This system has been doing well, but I haven't been running it long enough to play with real money yet.

On jackpot games, I mostly play numbers that I dreamed about, mixing them up with some random picks. I got a lot of small ($1 to $15) wins with the dream numbers.

I play two games regularly (Illinois Lotto + Illinois Lucky Day Lotto)

- On Illinois Lotto I spend $9 a week (3 lines in each drawing). Two of the lines are #'s I picked and play consistently one set of #'s is hockey related and other set is football/hockey related. 3rd line is a QP

- On Lucky Day... I just picked 5 random #'s and started playing them every week ($14 I spend for 14 draws). Only have played Lucky Day now for about a month but plan to continue to play it at least for year an... [ More ]

Most winners are from the QP pool because that is how the majority of casual players (and winners) go about it. They walk in the store and just shrug their shoulders and win millions while the rest of us are on here daily talking about numbers, systems, what music you listen to while picking, if you are a mystic or mathematical and we all still end up staying right where we are with less cash in our pocket.

You should pick your own numbers for Pick 3/4, b/c it is usually a very long shot trying to win Pick 3/4 with Quick Picks. For Jackpot lotteries [PB/MM/Lucky for Life] you have just as good a chance winning with QP as choosing your own numbers, maybe even better, b/c most Jackpot winners are from QP [70% of the time. Pick 5/6 is 50% / 50% winning QP vs. Your Own Numbers.

A month or so ago I bought a ticket with the least 5 picked numbers of all time and they were all in the 60's. Needless to say, I did not win. I have a set of numbers that I will play and the rest are QPs.

I've told this story before so stop me if you've heard it.

I spent a few years trying to calculate which numbers were gonna hit, drawing numbers out of a hat, and playing lucky numbers to no avail. In fact, I was doing so badly that I decided it would be more fruitful to play the numbers I didn't think would hit.

I have my own set of my numbers that I play most of the time along with quick picks. In all honesty, I'd rather play all quick picks/choose your own random numbers because I'm afraid if I don't play my own set of numbers that one time that they just may pop up.

That's a lot of ping pong balls. Have you hit with using the p.p. balls?

I once did the same idea with writing the numbers on pennies and pulling them out of a bag.
