Its random for sure. But can happen.

For me it usually happens for ticket # between 1-8 or 42-50.

I won $100.00 on first of two tickets and $1,000.00 on the second ticket. So yes, it's possible.

As stated it's completely random.

I've seen far bigger strings of losers than winners, but I've seen two or three

winners back to back before. I've seen as many as 12-15 losers in a row personally.

I have won small amounts on back to back tickets before

$20 + $15 wins back to back on the $300,000,000 cash Spectacular game here in Illinois. Monday I bought two tickets and broke even on one and won $20 on other

So I was very happy to walk away with $10 profit

Completely random.

Usually, winners are spread out. I've found back to back losers worse than the game odds before. For example, I've found 8 back to back losers on a $25 ticket here in Florida. The game odds are 1 in 2.88. I've also found 4-5 back to back winners on a $25 ticket before.

Usually, I'll notice it hold true to winners being spread out. This definitely isn't always the case, and there are hot rolls sometimes in which there may be numerous winners in a roll that pay... [ More ]

If you buy two scratchers one after the other (ie consecutive numbers from same roll) could both of them be winners? Or will the winners always be spread out such that if you scratch a winner, the next ticket (and previous ticket) are always losers? Or is it completely random such that you could theoretically have 10 winners in a row and the next 20 are losers
