You could buy 50 tickets per week for the next 70 years of your life, and you STILL would have, by any practical measure, ZERO chance of ever hitting the jackpot.

Your odds wouldn't be ZERO but 1:5,844,027 with 50 PB tickets, but why buy 50 PB tickets for $100 when you could buy 15 MM tickets for $15 with a guaranteed $1 win if you play all 15 bonus numbers with odds of 1:17,529,390 of winning the jackpot and odds of 1:1,232,814 of winning $1M.

By any practical measure - what do I mean by that? Well, in the case of the PowerBall, it would take you almost 1,000 lifetimes of that sort of excessive waste just to expect to hit the jackpot once. It's simply never going to happen.
