I wrote on a piece of paper the $100,000 winning numbers this morning at about 6:30. I took them from that video they have out on the PA Lottery's website, not the PDF file.

I just checked what I wrote on paper against the PDF file on the website, and all four numbers match.

I suspect you were tired. I doubt any numbers were changed by the lottery. G5

I think I made a big mistake or the lottery changed the $100,000 winners. As I posted earlier today, the 100K winners were all after July 2nd, but when I just rechecked that, that is 100% false. Either I was way tired when I wrote that or the lottery amended the numbers. Unfortunately the results are given in a non downloadable pdf that I did not save. For those interested in the $100 winners. The average distance between $100 winning tickets was 66 tickets. The smallest gap was 1 ticket and that occurred 83 times and the largest gap between $100 winners was 572.

387,703 tickets were sold, so odds of hitting $100 were 1 in 66, which was the avg distance between winning $100 tickets.

Odds of hitting $100K and $1 million were about 1 in 97,000

I cant add much to the above post other than;

Highest $1,000 winning number sold was 387111

Highest $100 winning number sold was 386344, so there were no winning numbers sold higher than 387111. (Makes me wonder if they even sold 400000 tickets!)

I had two tickets close to winning $100. I had one one off . On that ticket, my number was 18634 and the winning number was 18633. My other ticket had 358564 and the winning number was 358567. I'm just glad I wasn't one-off from one of the... [ More ]

350091- July 8 (1 day before drawing)

Sales started May 3rd (67 day ticket window), so if you bought any tickets the first month you didn't have a chance of hitting anything big, not even a measly grand. Less that 388000 tickets sold, so on the last day only 28000 tickets or so sold, which has to be near an all time low. Between my tickets, my coworkers tickets, and the ones we shared, we won zero dollars, we also put the least amount of effort into this raffle, we cut back by a pretty good margin. We clearly have raffle fatigue. We keep saying the PA lottery has to cut back or reduce the prize structure, but they keep on chugging along.

may have had enough. Better odds with less tickets but it's nothing special

213000 sold as of this am with 10.5 days remaining. 6500 sold per day. The big sales rush should pick up very soon, we are in the window that people want to buy now. Need to sell over 15000 per day to reach the 375000 estimate. Last couple days of sales usually gets around 35000 sold per day.

I agree. I like your buying strategy. I like to tell myself that it doesn't make any difference when or how I buy.

I've often thought that I don't want to know what it's like to have a one-off numbered ticket(s) to a million dollar winner. Can you imagine how you'd feel if you bought five tickets in one shot but the numbers weren't contiguous because somebody else was buying at the same time you were, and they got that million dollar winning number that you didn't? I like to spread my tickets out over the last month, just feels like it should be better with a larger spread vs buying in one shot, but I have the advantage of living in PA unlike you. In reality it is just a crap shoot, it just gives me a better feeling. My coworker has the same strategy as I do. We agree to spilt a set number of tickets and he also buys his own personal tickets. Clearly the masses like to buy their tickets the last 10 days before the drawing.

Yes, I can buy some of the tickets before I leave for Florida, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Great idea! Wish I'd have thought of it.

I'm so conditioned to buying all of the pools tickets in one shot that I didn't even think about making a second trip to PA. My wife will be down in Florida all next week on business and I'll be at home. I might as well take a run over to PA next week just to kill some time. Sales are doing better than the last couple of raffles. Maybe 375000 is a tad low, but cant see the 400000 barrier being broken but it is hard to project this far out. The lottery is currently running a promotion where you get a free mega millions ticket when you buy a raffle ticket, but it is for a limited time.

Can you buy some of your tickets before your trip and also after to have a greater spread? 3 days before the raffle they usually sell at 15000+ per day. Sales get boosted about

150000 sold so far with 21 days remaining as of yesterday, the 150000 mark was hit with 18 days left during the Halloween raffle. Likewise the 150000 mark was hit with 14 days left during the st patricks day raffle. Based on these numbers, it looks like only 375000 will sell for this raffle.

I didn't bother to calculate a rate per hour or anything like that, but I was a little surprised at the spacing between the numbers. I was expecting them to be closer together than they actually are.

Of course having sold just under 4% of the numbers means they've got 96% they've yet to sell. The hard part for me, is that I have to travel 45 minutes to the NY/PA border town where I buy them. That forces me to buy them in groups rather than a couple of tickets at a time. It just doesn't make... [ More ]

I just got back from PA. My tickets range between 18630 to 18705. I bought a total of six tickets. (five for me, and one for my brother). I bought two tickets in three different stores. (The stores were within walking distance of each other. I parked my car and walked to each store, and I waited about ten minutes between each purchase) I started at 3:25 PM, and the time on the last ticket is 3:55 PM. I haven't done it yet, but I already know that in the not so distant future I'll be buying at least five raffle tickets. When I do, I'll post the number range here. I know this because last Sunday night, I had 4 out of 5 winning numbers in NY's Take5 (5/39 matrix) which paid me $578! So since I'm playing with NY's money, I've decided to buy at a minimum five PA Millionaire Raffle tickets. I'm sure NY's Governor Andrew Cuomo will appreciate it very much!! Far as I'm aware, there's no change in the policy. First name, initial of last name, and county (or state, if outside of PA) of the winner is supposed to be published. PA Lottery reports large winners of other numbers and instant games in a timely manner. The raffle winners page is likely not being updated due to simple neglect - lack of time and care. Makes one wonder what else is being neglected ... RNG equipment, draw security, personnel integrity, etc.

Just a recap from the last drawing. Break even point for the lottery is 254,460 tickets sold which was hit about 2 days before the end of the last drawing in March. Last raffle sold 309,639 tickets or 62% of possible sales. Odds of hitting the big prizes were 1 in 77,410 and some lucky person who bought a ticket on the last day won a million. PA raffle is a good deal for a numbers game. The odds of winning a million, while not great, are far better than the various jackpot games, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, Cash 4 Life, PA Match 6, etc.

Overall payback on the raffle is a tad under 51% which is only a fraction of a percent better than PA Pick-5, which is sold twice everyday. Playing $20 straight on same number in PA Pick-5 will also pay $1 million with better odds (1:100,000 verses 1:125,000) than the raffle...

If you stop and buy a ticket(s) it'd be much appreciated if you'd please post here a range the number(s) fall in. No need to post specific numbers. What has typically happened in the past is ticket sales start off slow, and as the date of the drawing draws near, there's a mad rush to buy tickets and sales skyrocket.
