Good old strategy of tracking due pairs, all sums, and finally checking with daily rundowns usually works well.

Yea, like Tia said, making triads with what hit (2 digit returns) and what didn't hit works too.

I've been working on a pair method lately. If you play singles and you pick any single pair, call that the first pair. There are only 28 other single pairs that can comprise the 2nd pair to give you a single combo.

If you pick any single pair and want to play doubles, there are only 24 other pairs that can comprise the 2nd pair to give you a double combo.

So theoretically, if you get 2 numbers right you can win a single hit with only 28 combos.

Whenever I play pick 4 I will play my numbers as following:

I choose the 1st number: 1XXX

I pick 1 as the first number then have the computer quick pick the rest

whatever number i feel lucky about for that drawing is the number i choose

it would be 2XXX

or 7XXX

I figure it I can get the first number, then I have a 1 in a 1000 odds of getting it exact

Yesterday's P4 draws for NY were 2061 and 4195, so 0,1,2,4,5,6,9 hit yesterday and 3,7 and 8 did not hit.

Make your triads from yesterday's hits: 001, 011, 012...699 then combine them with 3,7 and 8.

This will give you quite a few combinations that will probably need some filtering.

Or, bet that the numbers that did not hit today will also not hit again tomorrow and make your combos just from the numbers that hit. This will work about 15 times out of 100 tries but requires fewer combos.... [ More ]

Look at the numbers that were drawn in the two draws yesterday.

TODAY you have a 34% chance of getting a pair of those digits, 31% chance of getting the triad from yesterday's numbers and a 14% chance (about 2 per week) of getting all 4 numbers from yesterday's numbers.

A good strategy would be to make the triads from yesterday's hits and combine them with the digits that didn't hit. You will get an average of 4 hits per week in a 2-draw-per-day state.

I use several methods to produce the numbers daily, a combination of paper and pencil and computer software. The results I week down to a few numbers to play daily. You can check out the Numbers from my Table 1.5 for the Pick-4 game on my Blog right here on the Lottery Post.

I gave out a root sum (7) number today which helped Delaware Players hit a straight in today's midday game with 2-1-6-7.
