I used to not play the Megaplier, but after comming to this board I now do. The pay off is worth the extra buck.

But, I do not play Powerplay. In my mind, it is not worth paying for.

No, I don't.

I spend way to much on these two games, as it is.

I just want to win $1 million. That's all I'd need.

With it, I could move out west, get a modest house, a motorcycle, a large screen tv, and I'm set.

Should I win a significantly larger prize, like tonight's MM (6/17/2016), I'd give a couple million to

children's hospitals, and some helpful amount to at least one unfortunate family, here in the USA.

I've started to wonder if, instead of megaplier, it might mske sense to get a second ticket with the same white ball numbers and a different MB number.

Sometimes I buy my Mega Millions ticket with Megaplier since it increases the chance of winning up to 5 times on all prizes (except jackpot) and makes the cost of each ticket only $2.

I don't get the Powerplay because $2 is expensive enough for the lousy odds and payouts Powerball has.

This is exactly my thought. You only double down on a guaranteed winning bet. I'd rather spend the extra dollar on another ticket which gives me a chance to win the JP or some other prize. I don't like the idea of doubling down when the odds say that you are just wasting $2 instead of $1.

On a side note, the MUSL would not offer the powerplay and megaplier options if they weren't profitable to the MUSL.

for the last mega millions drawing i self picked 10 tickets, each with a different mega ball. I won $0.00. Why should i double it to a $20 loss? It would be a great strategy though if a group buys all the mega ball combos and mega piles it each week.

I like to megaply and powerplay my tickets since I usually only buy one or two lines of ticket. I think I will megaply my friday mega millions ticket and my saturday powerball ticket too. The extra winnings brightens my day.-weshar75
