If you don't have the money to play then you shouldn't. I have $30 or so per week to spent on entertainment, since I don't buy cable TV, cigarettes , beer or other foolishness I prefer to spent it on foolishness like lottery games. If I ever win a big jackpot I'll spend it buying all those other foolishness.
