Depends on the size of the jackpot. When it's small, I get the powerplay. When it's large, I put the money toward an extra ticket instead.

I do sometimes, but they have that restriction on the what is available and for 5 number wins.

Each ticket may also have a Power Play option which allows the player to add a $1.00 option to multiply (two, three, four, five, or ten times). The 10X Power Play multiplier is available on all advertised jackpots of $150 million and below.

I do not believe I have ever seen a 10X PP anyways.

If you hit 5 numbers. It is only 2X only unlike Megaplier.

Megaplier seems to have more larger X's... [ More ]

I don't usually get my ticket(s) with the Powerplay or Megaplier .

However, one lucky Texan did get it on their ticket that matched 5 of 5 Tuesday and will get a cool $5 mil in cash....less taxes of course

I wouldn't pay the extra for powerplay, I wold use it to help by an extra ticket or buy a fantasy 5 ticket.

You are far more likely to win 4+1 than 5+0 and power play gets you as much as $250,000 while megapiler would only go up to $25,000. If I had any care for the medium prizes, I would buy more power play than megapiler but I don't care so I don't do either.

It depends on a player's mindset because those who play for only the jackpot, ever extra $2 spent on PowerPlay goes for more tickets. For the players that play for a more realistic smaller prize wins, the prizes are at least doubled by spending 50% more.

Om PB the Powerplay for 5 + 0 levels at $2m regardless of the Powerplay number.

I do it also, for the very same reasons. Recently I've hit a few of the lowest tier prizes but thanks to the multiplier and paying the extra dollar, I've won $12-16 instead of $4. I kept track of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes won here in Texas for a few months, and it averaged out to only about 25% playing the multiplier. Just a few weeks back, someone here in Texas won a million dollars on one of the national lotteries, but left four million on the table because they didn't spend the extra buck.... [ More ]

I do it for both MM and PB. I can increase my winnings by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times for $1.00. If I was to hit 2nd or 3rd prize, it would be well worth it.

I haven't bought many PB tickets since the Matrix change and I have certainly stopped buying the Power Play.

I suggested years ago that they offer a smallaplier and a bigaplier with the smallaplier applying to either 3rd through last prizes or 4th through last prizes and the bigaplier either applying to second prize or second and third prizes.

If I could buy a PB ticket with a bigaplier I would buy tickets more often because it would make second prize more worthwhile. On the last mat... [ More ]
