Sure the odds are very high, so why do you play the lottery? Because its fun and a chance at a dream. That's what it should be. Some people; however, take it to extremes with ticket purchases. Someone in another thread posted that when the matrix was changed it also made it difficult to win even the nominal prizes and for that reason people see no point in participating. I agree. I use to win smaller prizes of 200, 100, 50. Then 14, 9, 4, 2, 1. Now, it is rare for me to win as much as a dollar. It takes the fun out of playing when you cant win anything.
