Well you are assuming that everyone does everything perfectly. It is an evolving journey and if someone wants to be a vegetarian and wear leather, that is ok with me. They will continue the jouney when they are ready. That is like saying you are not a Christian unless you have 100% perfect church attendance or not a good student if you do not score 100% on every test. I am happy if people even consider meatless Mondays.

lol I've never seen the outside cats leave a beheaded corn on the cob at our door either. Yes your cute kittens and puppies are meat eaters!

Luckily people still hunt/eat the grazing animals or the vegetarians would be the ones starving, plus the animals since they reproduce more then humans (usually lol)

I had this conversation with a client of mine who didn't eat meat(too cruel) and yet she was wearing leather shoes and had a leather purse.

The Robinsons would not have won had Lisa Robinson NOT called her husband to remind him to stop and buy tickets. He wasn't feeling well and wasn't going to get, but because she called, he stopped. He purchased 4 tickets. One to represent each member of his family. The rest is history.

That's how you have to look at it. It just surprises me the number of winners that are just random lottery players that buy a few lines on a whim and tuck their ticket somewhere in their car to find out that they are multi-millionaires overnight. I don't think the Robinsons were true lottery players but rather were caught up in the hype and bought one line that changed their lives forever (for better and worse). Lower income people play for a chance at life changing amounts and higher income people play since you just can't have too much money.

Everything you mentioned my wife's father did in order to support and feed his family. My father in law also offers a charter boat service and still does taxidermy to this day. With a lot of mouths to feed they had to do all they could to provide for their family and I believe this builds a lot of perseverance and character in a person which certainly applies to you as well.

When I was growing up my dad raised mink for the fur. To feed them we went to a small slaughterhouse a few miles away to pick up tripe to grind into mink feed and I would watch them bring a cow into the stall, shoot it with a .22, then dress it out. Didn't bother me. I learned at a young age where food came from. Kids these days think food just magically appears in the store.

My thoughts as well! if someone doesn't drink or smoke, I see absolutely no harm in spending a few bucks on lottery tickets. Drinking or smoking can kill you but a lottery ticket can certainly make you rich

Exactly! And our investments into retirement are not even guaranteed to make money and many of them only increase in value gradually. Besides, if you don't waste your money on smoking, drinking or other vices, then you should feel less pressure on buying a lottery ticket or two. There are zero guarantees in anything you do.

This is so true, it really is the dream for the poor, sadly.

But how does that contrast wich persons who are starting new business ventures. Statistics show that about 50% of new businesses fail, loosing sums of money. So far this year I bought $973 in tickets and won $443, a 46% winback rate, A guess. Guess my business loss money, but I still have a shot at winning a jackpot.

I never comment on food in public spaces....where people are eating, etc....but I can still feel sad for the animals. I have had meat eaters comment on what I am not eating many times. I do think in 100 years or less, this will be seen as something barbaric of our ancestors. More and more main stream grocery stores have greatly expanded vegetarian or vegan foods. Or the meat may be lab grown only, And no, I am not a lib! Lol I just love animals.

I agree somewhat. I love animals a lot, and have seen some really bad videos on YT. You couldn't pay me enough money to work in a slaughter house.

Having said this, just like many animals, Humans have canine teeth which means we were designed to eat meat. The canine teeth are used to tear into meat.

The last time I noticed Kobe beef advertised was at a high end restaurant in Vegas. I'm perfectly content with Ruth Chris and the petite Filet (all 8 ounces of it) is more than adequate for my taste buds. I did see an article about Kobe beef scammers recently.
