I would always go with selecting the repeat digit.. would give you a 1 in 5 chance most of the time.. but this definetely depends on the lottery game you playing varying form pick3/4 to jackpot games are a bit more difficult but they do play repeats also so i would try that

That's known as a Key, King, Monarch, Banker number(s).

If you have CoverMaster, you make a Pick-5 wheel for the Pick-6 game one number short of your desired wheel size and then resize the grid from Pick-5 to Pick-6 and when the pop box asks what you want for the open spot, select your place holder number you want to appear on every line. As for choosing the number to replace the place holder, your guess is as good as any.
