It's the same like when no one wins the jackpot. If the numbers aren't there, there's no prize. First or second. It doesn't have anything to do with ticket sales, just that the ticket purchased did not have the right combinations to hit 5 or 6 numbers.

I think the PB site has breakdown on sales. I just guage it by the increase in 2nd tier (5+0) on CA lottery site.

Sales have been only slighly larger than normal. When MM/PB get high ($300M+) you can see the sales go up 5-10 fold.

I'll have my one ticket for Wed. Not sure about ticket sales. Just seemed strange. Maybe some folks are waiting until it hits $200 or $300 million before they play.

Have the tickets sales been average or down? I've also noticed the no million dollar winners in several draws lately. Kind of kills the vibe seeing not even a secondary jackpot winner come out of a draw. That feeds the negative nancies that try to dissuade people from playing the lottery.
