Oprah should not be confined to just advertising on her own network. Oprah advertises on the other major networks just like every other TV cable network advertises on other networks, other than their home network. This is just a common sense strategy to try and reach the largest TV audience. Oprah has every RIGHT to come on the mainstream networks to hype her shows

This gossip site elevated themselves by using Bossip for their website Lol! Also, unless Marie Holmes very recently purchased another home, the only one I have heard of is the new $294k home in the gated community of her hometown. I think it just has a gate that uses a code card access, no manned, security personnel.

She also bought Hot Sauce a 15k gold Rolex encrusted with diamonds along with a thick gold chain...wonder if he'll be sporting that in prison

I did read the linked article. It contained nothing but pure gossip and BS. The $188 million that news agencies love to tout is a fairy tale number as well. She opted for the cash option which was $127 million before taxes, after the government got their cut she got perhaps $70 million. No one is impressed with the lies and false information it contains but it's standard procedure for Discovery Channel or a gossip website.

Not sure where this gossip site got their info from but it's incorrect. Marie Holmes did not spend more than $20 million to bail her boyfriend out of jail. She used a bail bondsman and the total cost was 10% so she actually spent less than $2 million. Her home by the way is far from palatial . I remember seeing a picture of it perhaps on LP and it was a nice, modest brand new home that cost around $300k.

Don't these websites just love to glorify the issues

I watched Fix My Life this evening, Sat. 9/10/16, and Marie Holmes was not on this particular episode [A Four Part Premier of The Angry Black Woman ], unless she is going by the name Jaimeka. But, I compared Jaimeka's picture to the picture of Marie Holmes. They look similar, but I don't think Jaimeka/Marie are the same person, b/c their facial features are slightly different [nose mouth] [Biographical Info differs also].

I don't know drenick's reason but I myself do not like Oprah either. I actually did like her for a long time but a few years ago during a trip to Europe, Oprah played the race card by fabricating a story that a shop discriminated against her solely because she was black. The truth came out several weeks later after the shop owner herself debunked the entire story with facts supported by security surveillance.

I lost all respect for her after that incident.

You are correct on one thing, I have never heard or watched the show. My comments were strictly based on what the OP mentioned and no, not everyone other than you is aware that the host doesn't do financial counseling. You must have a lot of free time on your hands to be able to attain in depth knowledge of hosts and shows that most have never heard of.

Based on your comments you've never watched this show and yet you're quickly passing judgment without salient facts. Iyanla doesn't do financial counseling. Everyone knows that, so if Marie wanted financial help, she'd have been better off seeking out Suze Orman instead.

I think her financial goals aren't going as planned or why would she seek advice from a show? A group of experts that are not affiliated need to give her some guidance. None of them (Attorney, CPA and the financial planner) should have any vested interest with each other in order to give Marie unbiased opinions.

She needs a good team that is willing to put her and her family first instead of attempting to line their own pockets.

I watch Fix My Life with Iyanla VanZant regularly. It is Not about fixing financial problems. The show is a Therapy Show. It is about helping people to understand the Real Underlying Problems in their lives, and offering some guidance as to how to go about resolving some of those issues. The show is about Self Awareness, and usually focuses on your relationship with Self , and Others , including family friends significant others.

She's not going on the show seeking financial help or any other type of help. She is appearing to dispel the myth of the angry black woman. I would assume she is appearing only because they sought her out and the allure of Oprah was too strong to resist.

As I recall when she claimed her prize she was standing with her attorney and financial adviser I believe when she was on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts she stated she was there with her lawyer and financial adviser. It's obvious she didn't listen to them though.

They have a kid, in other words she carried his child.When he gets out- she will be waiting, having a kid or kids does that. All this going on a show and saying this or that changes nothing. It's all a show.I did not read of her sauce having a falling out, he originally said we together, of course she's going to bail me out -:end of story.
