When nobody won a $40 million dollar Powerball jackpot on Wednesday November 30th, 2016, then it rolled to an estimated jackpot worth $54 million dollars on Saturday December 3rd. That's after someone matched all 5 numbers 17-19-21-37-44 and the Powerball 16 to win the Powerball Jackpot worth $420.9 million dollars in Lafayette, Tennessee on Saturday November 26th, 2016. What do you think about my comment

That means we could see up to $1 Billion Dollar jackpot even faster if nobody wins these jackpots.

I thought it was in response to the past jackpot, that was rising pretty nicely . ....with people buying advance draw tickets so those still being in the pool it is rising faster.

The jackpot has to increase at least $10M but not its cash value.

The MINIMUM is 10 Million, it's not set to increase at that.

There's too much cash for the annuity they have posted so they need to increase it by more to catch up.

if the cash value is 7% less then what it used to be, how does that translate into the jackpot increasing by almost $14 million each time instead of $10 million?

I thought the game rules had it set at a $10 million increase.

Thanks for the response. I'm not a math wizard so just curious as to how it's working out that way.

The interest rate on the annuity changed. Several weeks ago the cash value was about 67% of the annuity value, but now it's only 60%.

Is the current Powerball Jackpot increasing by more than $10 million at each rollover?

Did something change with the game recently that I didn't hear about? Looked at Powerball website and could not find any info.
