I have 2013 on one computer in my house, and I don&#x27;t plan to upgrade to 2016 for that one due to the fear of it being slower. I find that in 2016, the Word processing utility can be very choppy, if you have many other windows or programs open. When I plan to write. I start up my computer fresh and go directly to Word without opening up anything else. I use macros to replicate and automate tedious tasks, such as inserting rows, deleting rows, etc. I don&#x27;t know if Openoffice will cut it, but I don&#x27;t really care, since I don&#x27;t use it. VBA is the programming language that underlies all activity within the spread sheet. When I insert an object into a spreadsheet, I do not need to use VBA.
