my new system is to cover every number in the draw once , never fails to hit every number. i sometimes even get a prize.

heres the thing. I am sure you found at least one aspect

of your system that works. stick with it, tweak it, and

maybe you can turn the tables.

In Florida, for example the Pick-6 you can mark from 1 to 5 of the numbers on the playslip and the terminal will select the rest, but you must mark the quick pick box otherwise it spits the slip out as incomplete.

There is supposedly nothing in the program to do the right thing, just randomly select numbers with no regard to those already marked for better balance, etc. not even using all the missing numbers before repeating some, just the luck of the internal draw by terminal before th... [ More ]

Those computers know what they're doing

Computers are very fast and rarely make mistakes, but they're stupid machines that (only) do exactly what they're programmed to do. Since lottery results are random nobody can program them to do a better job of guessing than you.

When the clerk scanned the tickets, it kept making a beep beep sound and spit it back out.

However, with a local state game it went right thru. However, i rechecked all the megamillions tickets and they were correct and the other numbers were random. But hell, with all this Russian hacking snip going on, I'm not playing anymore draw games. What's next, the software for the balls/quick pick machine get hacked?

Not sure why the clerk had to manually enter any numbers. Choose the quick pick option, put in the numbers you want and the computer will fill in the other numbers. Good luck.

I like your math.

And that's the thing, I did my math and that's what I came up to. I just thought if I picked 2 numbers for each play, and let the computer do the other 3 numbers...since it seems I always only get 2 numbers, maybe the computer can do better.

Of course you would. With overall odds of 1 in 14.7 you can expect that over the long term you'll average about the expected 2.585 times for every 38 tickets. If you bought 38 tickets for every drawing over a full year you could expect to win perhaps 250 to 290 times. You'd even have almost a 37% chance of winning a prize of more than $5.

ugh, I'm so mad right now. I've been wanting to try a method I read about in a forum somewhere. I picked all the numbers in a megamilions game, and then allowed the computer to also pick some. I bought $38/1 tickets. I definitely wasn't dumb enough to get the megaplier, but this is the second time this week I've tried it.
