There's nothing Wrong with these games. The lotteries, sometimes, find great success with a game have them reprinted under the same game Number. When they do this, they're sort of resetting the odds. It makes it fuzzy because there could be outstanding prizes from the first printing or outstanding tickets from the first printings. As long as they update their odds, these games are ok to play. I'm not 100% certain that these games are reprints, but given when the the games started, it would proba... [ More ]

1 in 2.8 is real good for any face value scratch off. The best we can do in N.C. for a $20 scratch off is 1 in 2.94. But that being said, they made a kazillion of them with 922,488 break even prizes. There is one in particular that has been out for 6 months with hardly any of the top three levels of prizes being won yet. Very discouraging.

Maybe it's not as popular as they expected, or maybe it was planned to run for a long time.

FWIW, it offers a good example of how probability works out with a large enough sample size. For the first game each of the prizes up to $50 have had almost exactly 59% of the available prizes claimed, and the rest vary between 58 and 62.5% except for the top prize at 50%.
