Interesting, maybe DC was not selling enough tickets? Or maybe they will replace it with another game shortly.

I like the fact that the Jackpot is AFTER TAXES.

The DC Lottery apparently stopped selling Hot Lotto on Dec. 24, 2016. This is a DC-only thing; Hot Lotto is still available in all the other states it was before.
