I use them myself, quite handy.

You just need to install the 8 Gadget Pack, which is available here: http://8gadgetpack.net/

Gadgets can also be run on Windows 8 or 8.1 using the same software -- but if you're still on 8 or 8.1, I'd strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 10 first. It's much better.
