You can classify your straight doubles. Stupid basics are LH and OE, next to that the DSD or SDD or DDS. Doubles could be simply OOE or LHL of course too LLL can be a double. What do you want to make of it? Then you need to play few and win soon. How do you want to make it? Garyo is going for best skipper, easy to find, but some won't put the cash and when you tell them to play a loss makes them stop playing.

I just went back and read a little more into this thread. Interesting indeed, but did you just say that odds and probability are the same? I could be in the minority that thinks they are totally different. To me...ODDS state what SHOULD happen, PROBABILITY state what MIGHT happen. That's a huge difference in regard to gambling...isn't it? Odds just seem more statistical to me, which is somewhat irrelevant to a single drawing.

I'm more into simplicity, because it's more simpler . Complexity is to complex for my money. With that said...

The money is in the doubles in P4/C4...no doubt! I like to stick to this reasoning...cuz it's simply more simpler to follow.

If the last double was ODD...Play an ODD double next. If the last double was side/side play the opposite until a double draws again. Don't change until it happens. If the last double was XXxx, xXXx, or xxXX then play them split xXxX, XxXx or XxxX etc.... [ More ]

Straights produce almost twice as many pair with varying results, i.e., hits rates between 5 and 26. (with most sets hitting between 13 and 18 times).

I went ahead and charted the Texas pairs (draws through Sunday) in three ways, Front Pairs (FP)

Back Pair (BP)

and Split Pairs (SP)....

It's three different perspectives on the same information. And I'm lazy. I didn't want to hunt and pick just the doubles. Way too much work since any pair can produce a double.

The pair is represented by the N(x) numbers at the left while the 0 thru 9 indicate the third digit in the set.

Thank you so much, every reply is Gold to me, even If I disagree. Patterns can only flourish in an environment that is not spoiled by exterior forces that aren't in the Scheme of things So to speak. Natural events that take their course without interference from officials.

So having said this, I will only study Texas from this point on. Texas is the only state I'm aware of that releases their pre-draw results early enough before the next official drawing.

Probability and odds of winning are the same. How can I apply playing 10 combos just like the other way and have a result that is so much more satisfying? 1 in 270 or 27, or whatever...lol 54?...is much better than 1 in 100 with the original way...lol

Some here have explained, and i have to go back and read them with more intent. I was working so I only skimmed through them.

Sorry I miss spoke a little the odd are 1/50 of getting the back pair correct the they change to 2/2 in the 39 back pair as there is only 2 possible. In the case of the 01/10 there are 4 possible so it would be 2/4 some are 3 possible so 2in3.

The odds change as your last digit changes. Some have 4 possible some only 2 some have 3 so the odds change but they are still like 2 in 135 in the 39/93 because you are still trying to pick the correct back pair. If you know for certain which back pair will hit then that would change your odds big time as in 2/20 as you play all possible front numbers to the 2 possible back numbers. Backpairs are played straight as pick 2. Doubled digit or two single digits, it is about straight. Instead of looking for combinations of 3, look for str. co. of 2. You won't have to worry about the front digit as a the straight pair pays 100 50 anyway. What comes most, blabla, no, it is straight back pair. If you go like 01 boxed, you play 2 combinations, 01 10. So, you should focus on the back pair straight for that. Play 50 pairs, win 50. Play 25 pairs, win 50, net 25 win. Can you get a strai... Hi Amber, I would imagine it's different for each state, but I would say look at the draws before the doubles, you'll likely see a pattern emerge.

Example, North Carolina p3 eve;

notice a pattern before those doubles? That pattern happens on midday on prior to eve doubles, like Mid 465 Eve 466. There is also this type of pattern (I see 2 patterns)

Probability. How likely something is to happen. Many events can't be predicted with total certainty. The best we can say is how likely they are to happen.

Odds. The chances or likelihood of something happening or being the case.

They seem pretty close to the same. So if we don't have a clue as to what digits will be in the double, how can we predict a back pair?

The odds for each pick is 1/270, but each pick comes with 1/4 ratio per pair. So how many repeat(doubles) digits is contained in those 270 picks

Remember we're only dealing with doubles. back pair 39 double has only two combos. Please go back and re read, 339 and 939 are the only two back pairs double possible combos.

Also regarding your first paragraph, if you have the back pair there are only 10 combos to play. A lot less than the 100 you stated, unless I missed something in your description.

I don't have a regular way of picking back pairs, but I may start to examine this further If I feel my odds for a str8 hit are 1 in 27. I'm still trying to find out what the real numbers are for STR* ONLY...lol I know for a FACT that they HAVE to be better than 1 in 1,000 because now we are ONLY dealing with 1 in 270.

100 possibilities Vs. 27 possibilities. Is this true or not?

How about a box back pair chart? Would that help? This is Texas back pairs, the first digit is any digit. I'm not even sure it applies to your idea, but it does tell us the back pairs hit fairly evenly across the board until we get to 88 and 89 where 89 comes out twice as often.

How does that work anyway? With a 50/50 chance of 88 or 89, 89 is winning 2 to 1? Goes against the idea of coin flipping!!!!

Regarding your first paragraph, if you can pick the back pair in straight order often enough, why not just play that way? $10 to win $500 isn't bad. If you play that way with the doubles, then you have to time it correctly as far as when the doubles come out, which is only 27% of the time.

IMO, if you're looking for a double and they decide to go cold, you may spend more money chasing them when you would have more opportunities to hit playing the singles.

Great idea, but in your example, you are picking which double will show boxed win. I'm searching specifically for str8 wins. Much bigger payoff once i get the numbers in from someone here who may know the math answer/solution.

The question is, are the odds now 1 in 27 or something else? 10% of 270 is 27, but something isn't right, too good to be true.

I have two theories.

The first one is that since there are only two pairs out of 270, that would mean there could only be two possibilities with a back pair. Say I pick pair 39, there only two possible combos that can show, 339, and 939. Does this mean I have a 1 in 2 chance of winning?
