About 2 or 3 years ago, before they changed the odds on PB, I noticed that there were more jackpot winners with PB. I think it was spring 2015 or 2014. That's when I started playing PB and for smaller jackpots because they were having winners 1-x2 a month.

Can there any longer be any doubt now that MM has been won and PB continue to roll? What I don't understand is when both jackpots are similar and odds of winning something favors MM, players spend more on the more expensive PB tickets. Now that PB will have no competition for a while it should roll up even faster.

When you consider both games have similar odds but one cost twice as much PB seems the obvious winner. MM sell $18,882,204 worth of tickets to generate a $1M winner and payout $3,221.827 in prizes while PB sell $23,376,108 worth of tickets to generate a $1M winner and payout $3,748,602 in prizes which leaves more money to build its jackpots.

For any given jackpot PB can be counted on to increase more than MM for the same jackpot because PB tickets cost twice as much and put about twice as much cash into the jackpot pool. For the current runs MM sold about 22 million tickets for an advertised jackpot of $137 million and PB sold about 14 million tickets for an advertised jackpot of $135 million. If you take out the 1.5 Bilion then Mega had the highest jackpot of 2016. Simply put, if Mega hasn't been hit by now then it's just gonna keep rolling and rolling until it reaches the biggest jackpot of the year status while PB will rise and fall and rise and fall during the climb.

I accidentally voted mega millions. Powerball will always unless Lottery Commission decides what they want that's usually how it works correct.

I also predict 4 members on this site to hit half million dollars. But those members will keep it private

If you look powerball annuity has almost caught up to mega millions annuity so I think powerball will be the bigger jackpot because of the $1 ticket in mega millions. Now if mega millions decides to change to $2 a ticket than mega millions could give powerball a run for their money.-weshar75
