Their website states what the lump sum on a jackpot will be for each up coming drawing. I just multiply that by 0.604 to see what the after fed taxes lump sum will be. http://www.calottery.com/play/draw-games

Assuming there are no winners, you're going to have to wait until March 18th for it to hit $21 Million.

You are right on your calculations and man in San Rafael, California won 10 million and opted for cash out, his net was $2,375,000. Keep the faith, it can happen for you.

If the California SuperLotto Plus jackpot goes up to $21 million, I will drive to the border and purchase tickets plus maybe play some of your scratchers. When you opt for cash and pay taxes on SuperLotto, you wind up with about a third, so a $21 million jackpot will net $7 million. I picked $21 million in a case there is a split between three winners. (Usually, three is the maximum number of splits on a jackpot.) Each would still wind up as millionaires, netting over $2 million.

For some reason I bought 4 tickets for tonight's drawing. I dont know why. Usually, when the jackpot is low, I will buy only 1 ticket. The jackpot is now at $9 million. When the jackpots are low, I'm often motivated by the second prize. However, last draw, 4 people won 2nd prize which got them a total of $8500 each. I'm not a big fan of the Calif parimutuel system. Of course, if I won the jackpot, I wd be thrilled. After taxes, it's around $3.3 million.
