The store that sold the three winning Powerball tickets is owned by a man and his two daughters. The daughters are age 23 and 24 and were just recently handed the business, while dad still manages the place. To me, nothing proves randomness like a pedophile winning the lottery. That's one type of criminal all companies distance themselves from. On reflection: If the lottery can have a winner that is a pedophile like that character from FL-anything is possible. This should be good news for our bridesmaids winners given Puerto Rico's debt crisis.Good for them.

Yes winners in Puerto Rico can stay anonymous. Shockingly, there were two Puerto Rico Powerball jackpot winners in 2015, the year after the island started the game. Both have remained anonymous. Puerto Rico has a lot of crime. There is no benefit in going public, although the lottery commission might tell us if one person or more people purchased those three tickets at the one location.

Of the four tickets, three were purchased in one location, one automatic/quick pick and two with manually chosen numbers. It is not know if the same person made the purchases.

The ticket at the other location was an automatic/quick pick. The business owner says that a Dominican national probably bought the ticket since 90% of his customers are from the Dominican Republic.

One could also theoretically find the rigger and try to convince him or her nicely to be let in on the winning numbers.

I've often wondered if people play the numbers that reporters show into the camera when there is a segment on the lottery. Imagine someone on Good Morning America holding the winning combination into the camera and ~6000 people copying her. Ouch!

Still waiting on that oracle dream coming through.

I'm guessing that it was either one person or one family in Puerto Rico who won the 4 secondary prize tickets sold there. But if by some fluke it turns out that there were 4 winners who have no ties to each other, would anyone believe that it was a coincidence? or that we have a Latin Eddie Tipton making the rounds.
