Hey rc, I believe one state was sued once because they continued to sell a scratch it game after all the jackpot prizes were claimed. The judge agreed with him. In NY where I live you can look up on the NYL website the top prizes report where it shows how many 1st place and 2nd place tickets are left in each current scratch off game. It would be considered fraud or false advertising if they kept selling tickets that didn't have a jackpot winner left.

The problem with 3 and 4 digits games is that even if you win, the prizes are not significant enough to make that much of a difference. Unless you exceed the statistical averages for winning first and second place prizes by a lot you still wind up in spending more than you win. 5 and 6 digits games just require a strategy that takes longer to execute, but if won can actually pay for themselves and have a lot left over.

For me personaly, the 3 4 digit daily games can be won way more than the higher digit games like cash 5 fantasy 5 , the 6 nunber games or the scratch off games. The trouble with the scratch off games is that the winnings are predetermined at the print shop. With the 3 4 digit daily games, you can follow the past plays to formulate future plays. So if you can create an accounting system to work those numbers, you can better results with the dailys....JUST MY OPINION. GOOD LUCK

I wouldn't mind a lottery pool if there is a good honest one ?? where you can play the bigger games that have terrible odds and share the winnings? and Dracos, my stepson walked in to a publix and won a million and NEVER PLAYED LOTTO BEFORE..... talk about LUCK!! $40/month is a very smart budget. I need to follow your strategy, I think that's a good amount to play balancing having a shot at winning something life changing without going overboard. =)

I don't think there's a way to do this currently in FL, but who knows what we'll see happen...

I wonder if there are ways to buy scratch offs online? Fla lotto told me they are working on having the ability to buy and play instants online I know Georgia lotto has online play but you have to prove residency

Also, there are big winners on scratchoff tickets in Florida. You just have to find them...

If you head over to the FL Lottery scratchoff thread, there's a person who won $2M, $250k, and $100k last year. We also had other people who got lucky and won larger amounts as well. I won $100k on the $20 scratchoff game called Super Millions in November. Because I have found, and frequently see big winners on scratchoff games, I prefer them over draw games.

Welcome to the LP community, it is great to see another FL Lottery player!

In regards to scratchoffs vs draw games, I prefer scratchoffs. I think the odds of winning on scratchoffs games are much better, and there's lots of breaks built into them. The only draw game in Florida that I like is Fantasy 5 since it offers excellent odds of winning the top jackpot. To answer your question. I have won a little on scratchers, and a little on draw games. Now, I'm partial to draw games. For one, I like the anticipation of the drawing coming up. Scratchers are instant gratification. Because of that, at least in Texas, scratchers outsell every other game.

Probably, my biggest concern with scratchers is that you don't know if they have released all the top prizes, or if they EVER will release them. I've seen games closed before all the top pr... [ More ]

Hello Everyone

I am new here and never played lottery before until now! I am 53 and personally know someone that won A MILLION here in Florida.

I have been playing both scratch offs and draw games and have won about 150.00 so far but am about 75.00 in the hole....... Is there a good way to pick numbers??? or should I just quick pick them? I have tried both ways and see it about 50/50 so far in the winnings....................

I also won much more on scratch offs than draw games.
