They will withhold 25% federal taxes but you will ultimately have to pay more. I prefer to multiply the cash pay out by 0.604 for the actual post federal taxes amount you will end up with.

No, it has last nite's jackpot at $68 million and Wed., 3/8 jackpot at $85 million. It just seems that if they sell more tickets than they estimated, which you and the TX website say they did, it should be reflected in an increase pot.

The net cash option amount for 3-8-17 for my state is $34,680,000.

I have a site on my favorites that gives the net amount ........ after both Federal and State tax with holding .....for every state participating and before every drawing.

On an up note, I did get 3 +PB for a grand total of $153 bucks! On a down note, I spent too much on tickets (all three games) because I forgot I had already purchased tickets. duh.

Redd55, the drawing was at $71.2 million dollars for the Powerball draw, but no jackpot winner. The next jackpot is now at $85 million dollars with $51 million dollars if they take the lump sum cash payout

You're right Redd55. The Powerball Jackpot for Wednesday March 1st is estimated at 53 million dollars or 32.4 million dollars if they take the lump sum.

This is a welcomed surprise. If PB rolls over Saturday night, instead of going up $10 million, it will go up $13 million. I guess because of the previous yuge jackpot, maybe people were buying tickets in advance.
