There can't be big jackpots if it's split 100 ways and let's not forget the impossible assumption 100 players could all beat over 258 million to 1 odds. And who knows how they could determine which 100 tickets would split the jackpot when players are now complaining that certain states win all the jackpots.

Considering the ticket sales on $50 million jackpots, it's not a big jackpot . And under your rule proposal to split the jackpot 100 ways, a $500 million jackpot would give each player just $5 million and not even close to what most players call a big jackpot.

If it were changed to 100 winners I would only be for that if all states participating were represented equally. It would not be cool if Indiana or Wisconsin were winning everything.

Why, both MM and PB are doing what they were designed to do as multi-states lotteries which allows every state to offer a lottery with a very large jackpot.

They tried that with the Monopoly disaster a few years ago.

If you want better odds and smaller jackpots, play the state lotto.

It's been proven that PB and MM sales go up dramatically when there is a big jackpot. So if they change the games where there are lots of million dollar winners, but not a big jackpot to win, the game will die. And there are million dollar second prizes already.

To guaranteed one hundred winners the jackpot would have to start off with a prize big enough to pay 100 winners instead being allowed to grow which would make it a raffle instead of a lottery.
