Of course, they are estimates. But I routinely look at them before the actual drawing and usually, they are in sync.

Correct. They don't know the exact amount because sales until the cutoff will affect the cash amount, which affects the annuity amount. It is an estimate. Remember when there is a huge jackpot and the jackpot amount would change 2 or 3 times or more because of heavy sales.

So it really is a moot point.

Those cash amounts are not final, they are always ESTIMATED. My guess is each site uses a different formula to arrive at those figures.

Now for me, $375K IS a lot of money....BUT if you are handing me a check for ~24Mil in exchange for a small $2 investment, well.... I'm think I'm ok if the estimate was a bit off.

I noticed that for tonight's PB cash amount:

California: $23,900,000

Lottery Post: $24,000,000

Texas: $24,271,844

I guess it's true that they do everything bigger in Texas.
