Yes that' was a tough call as is all cases of death taxes lejardin

major problem was in prevention protocol, the watch was not vigilant ot wide a wake enough on duty; this would have been a near miss if spotted in reported iceberg area in advance; L@@K out prevention better than past regret. That's what guard duty is all about.

And agreed the shortage of lifeboats cost more unnecessary lives; the number of boats was miscalculated based on how many passengers were going supposed to de-board... [ More ]

Very sad story, so many who were supposed to have been saved by the er boats on the ship and didnt.

DateLine: April 15th, North Atlantic on the Ides of April

The ostensibly the great and unsinkable RMS Titanic (Royal Mail Ship) foundered in North Atlantic on her unlucky maiden voyage off Newfoundland from Southampton to New York just hitting an iceberg by inches; sinking rapidly in hours with 1534 people perishing beneath the waves and approx another 1500 survived to tell the terrifying tale.
