I already changed to an occasional player quite a while ago, but include the MP when I play.

Most people say they will stop playing MM when the ticket price goes to $2, but we all know that most will continue to buy.

Maybe not as many as when it was $1, but you still need to be in it to win it

Now that powerball has the record for largest jackpot it looks like mega millions wants to dethrone them bye upping their tickets costs. I think that I will continue to play my state lotto Oregon megabucks and slow down on powerball and mega millions until their is a nice prize to be won. I can use my money at the casino for breakfast buffet or lunch buffet or brunch buffet and slot play to get my gambling fix. All of these big multi state games changing their game matrixes is really starting to get old. Not just Mega Millions, but Powerball, Lucky for Life, and Hot Lotto have all been restructured these past few years to have significantly worse JP winning odds. Barring a big half billion $ jackpot I'll be playing only Mass Megabuks Doubler and Tri State Megabucks from now on.

If they do what the powerball does it will make it tougher. But then again it's not till October. I guess time to use a different strategy and start thinking of better combos for pick 3 and so forth.

Well, right after I posted this Todd posted his story. Actually I googled it and saw the NY Lottery story.

I'll probably keep playing, if nothing else but to hope to win second prize. That would set me up for retirement at my age. But I would not play the megaplier when it goes up in price.

I'd only buy tickets when the jackpot got really high. My $1 state lottery, with much better odds, goes without any one winning for 6-9 months at a time. I realize more people buy MM PB tickets, so better chance of having a winner, but still...
