I think it is very plausible for the lotto to reach $2 billion referencing how the lotto grew using the last example. More people play as the jackpot grows and the amount of number combinations out there can lead to staggering amounts in my opinion.

Will MM post October? Maybe

MM will change in October and have worse odds and lower payouts than PB for the same price so it'll easily have a massive roll cycle like what happened last summer where it just rolled and rolled. It managed to achieve nearly 400 Million in cash using 1/259 Million odds, 15 megaballs and a $1 ticket. under the new changes that would easily have been 900 Million Cash which would generate a jackpot of $1.7 Billionish.

PB did roll over. The annuity is now $184 million with a Cash Value of $112,700,000.

Here in California, I will keep ATTH After Tax Take Home $68,000,000.00

I hope that a LP member wins before it hits the $2 billion mark. Otherwise, I hope it sets new records.

When the jackpot gets to a certain amount, it increases by leaps and bounds. However, a lot of that was due to past interest rates. Anyway, look how quickly it exploded last year:

It's starting to pick up! If PB rolls over tonight, it goes up to $147,000,000 or $90,600,000 lump sum on Saturday. After federal taxes, that leaves you with $54,722,400.

But you know me, I would be happy to accept tonight's pot of a mere $130 mil.

I think that players will come out of the woodworks to play powerball if the jackpot rolled to $2 billion and I think that players would probably buy enough tickets to get at least one winner before the $2 billion threshold.-weshar75
