Since each pack of 30 $10 tickets contains 7 winners, it would probably be much wiser to play 2 on each roll. You may lose on both but you limit your losses and the more you buy on one roll the more you'll lose since losers outnumber winners 4 to 1.

In other words, if you buy 10 tickets on a roll, you'll most likely win 2-3 times. But if you buy 10 tickets on 10 different rolls, there is a chance to win on all 10 since each roll contains 7 winners. Get my drift?

I find it better to d... [ More ]

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I've been buying about 4-10 at a time and trying to just go to multiple places. I do have two gas stations that I like going to because they are busy. But maybe that's not accurate.

When looking from a birds eye/macro/overall perspective, sure this is true of course, that the winners will more likely come from a retailer that does higher volumes of sales. However, from a micro/case-by-case perspective, this in no way increases your chances of actually winning past the statistical odds, when we are talking about buying 1,10, or even say half the tickets in circulation. It is exactly the same whether you buy all your tickets at Publix vs Bobs Bumpkins store. I know most here

Try to find the places that sell the most tickets AND have a policy that the employees are not allowed to play the scratch off tickets.

For numbers games, this doesn't matter, but for scratch off games, the 'no-employee play' policy is critical. Too many people buy their scratch off tickets and play them right in front of the employees. They simply observer and watch the number of 'losing tickets' in a row, then but the next round of probably winners.

This isn't theory or a hunch.

Actually it's quite the opposite. From a purely mathematical standpoint, the cities that sell in higher volume will have more big winners, because the probability is higher. Many big winners have come from Jacksonville, Kissimmee , Tampa, and Miami, as well as their surrounding areas.

This was covered a little bit in another thread I had made, but I wanted to make a thread separate for it.

There are a couple gas stations in town I like to buy from, but there a bunch of gas stations throughout the city. So I was wondering, should I just pick 1 or two places and consistently buy from them, or spread it out and buy from a bunch
