Thanks for sharing. Yeah the state lotteries... I like the odds, but to get so little when you are just one number off sucks. In MD we have a 6 number game, I got 5 of 6 last year and got $2500 if I remember correctly. I really have no technique except I like to buy my tickets in certain areas, so far I have had at least a $2500 win in MD, DC, and VA. I have liked redeeming in MD the best because the stores that actually say they cash large tickets actually do.

Welcome to jackpot game world!! I've experienced the same feelings 5of6 on my states 1/39 6 number game $350,000. jackpot $500. for 2nd. Also ONE digit away on 6th number!! $500. is really nice but all it helps with is bill pay. Keep on playin' and watch the other posters for ideas..........GOOD LUCK

Thanks, I know the odds. If I keep winning more than I play I am ahead. But a jackpot or 2nd tier on the mega / powerball would be life changing. Good luck with your playing.

I've never been that close, but remember, you are off by at least a couple hundred thousand combinations in reality.

So I have been a lottery post lurker for a few years, but became a member in 2016 when I came close 3x to a jackpot. It happened again Friday May 19th played mega millions in MD, DC, and Virginia. In DC got 3 of the first five balls and the mega ball, also had the megaplier. So my $50 win multiplied to $150. My eyes wanted to see so bad having the other two numbers .

Last year I was one number shy 3x. All quick picks, one with the megaplier.
