Correction, the Mega Millions jackpot was $165 million the week before the $1.59 billion Powerball jackpot was won, not the day before.

Here is an interesting piece of trivia. Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots were never both over $300 million at the same time. This may happen for the first time in the current set of jackpot rolls.

I think he means two high jackpots at the same time as opposed to the Jan 2016 PB jackpot of 1.6 billion which skews the stats. The MM jackpot was $165 M the day before the billion dollar PB jackpot was won.

The best way to check, soviet, is to use the TX lottery site. The jackpot amounts are easy to scroll thru and compare.

And the MM jackpot goes up another $20 M if it rolls tonight for a grand total of $282 M on Friday night.

What you are asking for makes no sense since you want to discount record jackpots.

It is only a record high (or close to record high) jackpot that will produce a record high combined jackpot.
